How does the estimate process work?

Getting an estimate from IronHaul is simple. Fill out the form above or give us a call. We will review your project details and, in most cases, provide a ballpark estimate within 24 hours. For larger or more complex projects, we will schedule an on-site visit to assess the conditions firsthand. On-site estimates are always free and carry no obligation. Once you approve the estimate, we schedule the work and get it done.

Do I need to be home during the estimate visit?

It is helpful but not always necessary. If the work area is accessible from the exterior of the property, we can often assess the site without you being present. However, being home allows us to discuss the project details, answer your questions, and make sure we understand exactly what you want. We recommend being available by phone at minimum during the visit.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend reaching out two to four weeks before your desired start date, especially during our busy season (March through November). Smaller jobs like driveway grading can sometimes be scheduled on shorter notice. Emergency work, such as storm debris removal, is handled as quickly as possible regardless of our regular schedule.

What information should I have ready when I contact you?

The more detail you provide, the better. Helpful information includes the project address, a description of the work you need done, the approximate size of the area (in square feet or acres), your timeline or any deadlines, and any access restrictions we should know about (narrow gates, steep slopes, overhead power lines, etc.). Photos of the project area are extremely helpful and can often allow us to provide an initial estimate without a site visit.

Do you require a deposit?

For most residential projects, we do not require a deposit. Payment is due upon completion of the work. For larger projects (typically over $5,000), we may request a deposit to reserve the scheduling slot and cover material costs. Deposit requirements, if any, are always communicated clearly in the written estimate before you commit.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept checks, cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), and electronic bank transfers. For your convenience, we can email an invoice with a secure payment link upon project completion. We also offer financing referrals for larger projects through our lending partners.

What if the weather delays my project?

Earthwork and equipment operations are weather-dependent. Heavy rain, saturated ground, and extreme conditions can make work unsafe or produce poor results. If weather forces a delay, we communicate with you promptly and reschedule at the earliest safe opportunity. We never charge for weather delays, and we never work in unsafe conditions just to stay on schedule.

Are you insured?

Yes. IronHaul Co carries comprehensive general liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage. We are happy to provide a certificate of insurance upon request. We strongly recommend that you verify insurance on any equipment operator before allowing them to work on your property. Learn more on our About page.
