What We Collect

Information You Give Us Directly

When you submit a quote request, estimate form, instant quote, or contact form on this site, we collect what you type into it:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The service address or project location
• The service you are asking about, and any details you describe
• How you heard about us, if you tell us
• Photos you choose to upload of the area you want worked on

None of it is required. If you would rather not fill in a form, call us instead.

Information Collected Automatically

This site uses Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies in your browser and reports to Google things like the pages you viewed, roughly where you are (city or region level, derived from your IP address), what device and browser you used, and which site or search you arrived from. We use it to understand which pages are useful and which service areas people come from. We also record which page a form was submitted from, so we know where a request originated.

Our web host and its content delivery network keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

Third-Party Content on Our Pages

Our footer shows our Thumbtack rating using a widget served by Thumbtack. Loading that widget means your browser contacts Thumbtack, and Thumbtack may set its own cookies or log the request. We do not control what Thumbtack collects. Some pages display Google reviews, which our server retrieves rather than your browser.

What We Do With It

We use the information you submit to:

• Respond to your request, quote the work, and schedule it
• Contact you by phone, text, or email about that request
• Keep a record of the job, including before and after photos
• Follow up about work we have done for you, and occasionally about seasonal services
• Understand which services and service areas people are asking about

By submitting a form with your phone number, you are asking us to contact you about your request, and we may call or text you about it. Message and data rates may apply. You can tell us to stop at any time – reply STOP to a text, say so on a call, or email us.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.

We share it with service providers who help us run the business, and only so they can do that job:

• Our web host, which stores the site and its database
• Our email provider, which delivers the notification of your request to us
• Our own lead-handling system, a private endpoint we operate that routes new requests so nothing gets missed
• Google Analytics, as described above

We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we need to in order to protect our rights, our property, or someone’s safety.

How Long We Keep It

Quote requests are stored in our website’s database and in our email. We keep records of completed jobs, including invoices and job photos, for as long as we need them for business, warranty, insurance, and tax purposes. Requests that never became jobs are cleared out periodically. Google Analytics data is retained on Google’s schedule, currently 14 months.

How We Protect It

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into a form is encrypted in transit. Access to our website administration and lead records is limited to IronHaul personnel. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise a determined attacker will never get through – but we do not ask for and do not want sensitive information through this website. Never send us payment card numbers, bank account details, or Social Security numbers through a web form or by email.

Your Choices

• Ask us what we have. Email info@ironhaulco.com and we will tell you what we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it. Same address. We will do it unless we are required to keep the record, for example for a job we completed.
• Stop the calls, texts, or emails. Tell us and we will stop.
• Opt out of analytics. Install Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine either way.

Virginia residents: the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act sets size thresholds that a business of our size does not meet, so its formal rights process does not apply to us. We honor the requests above regardless.

Children

This site is meant for adults hiring contract services. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will appear here before they take effect.
